Sex and The City 2: Reviews

Carrie: Oh my God you gals. Have you seen the bad reviews we've been receiving?
Miranda: Can we not Carrie, I have to meet Steve on the Brooklyn Bridge.
Samantha: Honey, you have to let it go. If I worried what every bitch in New York was saying about me, I'd never leave the house.
Charlotte: My vagina's depressed!

By now, it's common knowledge that Sex and The City 2 is greeted with universal derision (the movie scores a pathetic 16% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes) but as any reality tv star would do, we choose to surround ourselves with positive energy. So we've collected some positive excerpts from a sea of brutal negativity, and trust me it's like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Every time Chris Noth appears in a plain suit as Mr Big, it’s a relief to see the only character who has not become a laughing stock.

"Why should Carrie get to stomp around like a giant, while the rest of us try not to get smushed under her Jimmy Choos? What's so great about Carrie? Hm? Charlotte is just as cute as Carrie. 'Kay, Miranda is just as smart as Carrie. People totally like Samantha just as much as they like Carrie. And when did it become okay for one person to be the boss of everybody, huh? Because that's not what New York is about. We should totally just STAB Carrie!" - Gretchen Weiners on Carrie dominating the posters

Well, the friends still look porelessly fine. And I'm delighted that, in an antidote to recession frugality, their wardrobe budget hasn't taken a hit.

And the bond among the women felt authentic.

... fan service... eye candy...

Despite these "glowing" reviews, we're still going to watch it, and buy the DVD..
