'Desperate Housewives' Recap: Therapeutic Activity

Desperate Housewives Season 6 Episode 13: How About A Friendly Shrink
source ABC

I have nothing much to say except last night's episode of Desperate Housewives confirms the series' return to form. In common with many, I have tolerated a somewhat patchy and slow season 5 but my patience seems to have paid off. Bree is miserable, like she was in the first 2 seasons, providing the comedy highlight of the episode.

Spoilers ahead.

Simon Cowell's Replacement

source

By now most of you must have heard about Simon's Cowell's departure from hit TV karaoke-show American Idol. While some viewers are hung up on the news (believe it or not some fans are still mourning the loss of Paula Abdul), I'm excited about the possibilities for the upcoming season - who shall replace the mean British judge.

I'd like to nominate a larger-than-life entertainer who I believe will be a great addition to the show.

No, I'm not talking about half-naked Jesus Luz with the blue eyes and thoroughly tanned bod. Look at the lady instead. Now, I know you can almost see peen, but look at the lady. Yes, it's Madonna.
source

Madonna is a pop icon, and has entertained the world for more than three decades (damn!), surely she knows a thing or two about the music industry and artistry. The woman is outspoken and fearless, and has continuously re-invent the pop scene with provocative images and lyrics with sexual connotations. Besides, she's shown a nurturing side despite a cold exterior she usually displays in public.

What do you think about Madonna replacing Simon Cowell on the show? Are you thrilled that Simon is leaving? And were you entertained by this joker?

Movie Review: "The Princess and the Frog"

source

Jefry: I went to see The Princess and The Frog earlier. I understand that this review is long overdue, but I'm not not wasting my $10.50.
Joshua: Fine. How was the movie?
Jefry: It was fine. I felt judged by the movie counter girl though, she was giving me this look. But I can't help it that I love Disney Princess movies.

Joshua: Actually, i watched it a couple of weeks ago. I thought it was underwhelming, you know, considering the quality of older disney classics.
Jefry: Sure, the film lacks the catchy musical numbers like The Little Mermaid's Part of Your World and Enchanted's That's How You Know, but I'll give it credit for using classic hand-drawn animations. We're constantly bombarded by computer-animated features, and honestly I'm getting a little sick of them.

Joshua: Are there any highlights from the film you'd like to mention?
Jefry: Yeah, I was extremely entertained by the love-stricken firefly Ray. He definitely steals the show for me. Also, how romantic is that dancing-on-the-lake scene. It reminds me of the love-boat scene in The Little Mermaid, where Ariel is trying to tell Prince Eric her name. Ooh, I'm basically having Disney Princess orgasm right now.

Joshua: Please sum up the movie in a sentence.
Jefry: It's a throwback to Disney's earlier works, it's not quite there yet but it sure is entertaining.
Joshua: What would you score the film out of 10?
Jefry: 8, just because it doesn't rely on 3-D gimmick and mindless actions. I really liked it, the children in the audience seemed to love it, but it could use an improvement in the music department. I'm just a geek for 2-D animations.

Editor's note: This conversation is fictional, duh. Who the fuck speaks like that in real life?!

'Desperate Housewives' Recap: Strip Tease

Desperate Housewives Season 6 Episode 12: You Gotta Get a Gimmick
source ABC

After a gimmicky attempt to increase viewership (a plane crashed on Wisteria Lane, y'all), I'm glad to say that this week's episode of Desperate Housewives is free from the flashbacks/flashforwards bullshit the writers keep shoving down our throats last season.

Gaga and Balenciaga

I think I'm getting better with titles cause the title totally rhymes. Other news: happy new year and I'd be back blogging again.

Barbie in outfits Lady Gaga have worn before.
source The Pipeline

I guess the bitch, Barbie, is getting lots of work lately. Is it really sad that I can recognize or remember Gaga wearing all those outfits? I see some from the Bad Romance video, that paparazzi performance etc.

Balenciaga Spring 2010

lol what is this? I don't hate it (it's balenciaga! you don't hate balenciaga) but I guess you could say it's different from what you normally see in term of ad campaigns.
